Manager, Process Engineering

Capital One Canada’s Process Engineering team is responsible for maturing Capital One Canada’s Management System capabilities. The team spends 70% of its time coaching, 20% consulting and 10% teaching. Reporting to the PE lead, you will work with all levels from Associate to Accountable Executive across the enterprise. You will coach them to use Lean principles and tools to improve the products and services we deliver to our customers.

Your responsibilities will include:

· Coach a portfolio of Process Managers, Owners and Accountable Executives

· Contribute to the  strategic agenda for the team, partnering with executives and directors from across the organization to align on high impact outcomes

·Manage the development and deployment of the management system to enable associates to collaborate, define intent, monitor performance, and improve our processes to deliver better experiences for our customers

·Proactively identify and mitigate risk through implementing resilient processes and using quality management tools within PE’s processes

·Leverage Service Design methodology to define and implement ever better associate experiences with PE’s internal products

·Coach various departments (such as customer acquisition, customer management, customer channels and our software studio) in different locations to develop, execute and improve processes and products

·Deliver key internal consulting engagements using a variety of techniques and tools to define, manage and improve processes, like Lean, Agile or Six Sigma 

Basic Qualifications:

·Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Commerce, or Science

·At least 10 years of experience designing, managing, and improving processes

·At least 5 years of experience in an improvement team

·Experience working in the Financial or Insurance Industry

Preferred Qualifications:

·Experience in business consulting

·Experience with the Toyota Production System

·Experience working in an Agile workplace environment

·Data analysis and fluency with SQL, SAS, R, and Python
